Come and see the world,
my friend,
Come and see the sites!
There's always something
new 'round here,
there's always
          something bright.

Come and see my world
mon ami,
Come and stay a while.
There's fantastic things
placed here and there,
I hope they make you smile.

You're welcome here,
I hope you know,
my friend both
          strong and good,
who speaks with such
          warmth and love.

Remember me, now
          and again,
For I remember you,
you see,
and love you,
          my dear friend.

          Make it a good one.

Emma wrote this poem in the first pages of a notebook she gave me as a graduation gift. She was a much better friend to me than I was to her.
